Can anyone suggest a good replacement ignition module? I can't break the bank though. I have Accel Wires, Coil, Cap and Rotor. Should I stay on the same roll, or does it matter? I can get a cheapy for 20.00, or get an Accel for 45.00. Any other brands that are good? What about MSD?

I FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!
It was 2 wires on the ignition switch!!!!! I put them back according to the color code on the wiring diagram when I put the wires back on the switch after I hotwired the truck. That was my problem!!!! The previous owner had a underdash wiring harness put in and the installers got the brown and the pink wire backwards. I checked the spark plugs and was getting no spark on crank, but just as you let go of the key sparks would fly for a moment, thus causing the dieseling affect. When the key was in the run position, power was going to the distributor, making the engine continue to run. What a very sneaky trick!!!!! Thanks to everyone who helped to solve this problem and continued to point me in the same direction of the wiring!!! Everything appeared to be normal when the truck was running, that's what was confusing me. Thank God That is Over!!!!! Thank You again for everyones help and patience. I Love This Board!!!!!

Sweet, glad you found it. It's usually something simple, just a b*tch trying to find.

Good job, but I hate to say I told you so. I knew it had to be wired wrong. Never trust the wire diagrams, they are not always right. You should always double check for yourself. At least it wasn't something that will cost you money to fix. Now you're back on the road. Way to go. Also, now you have a new understanding of electrical troubleshooting. Next problem will be no trouble to track down and fix.
