Steel wheels?

I am thinking about copying Mister-B and putting a set of steels on my C20. Not that I want to be a copycat or anything. But he is my silent hero. LOL I went through four different salvage yards yesterday with absolutely no luck. Can't even find a Ferd E250.

Anyone have any other suggestions of finding a set of four??? I have a place down the street from where I work that will media blast and powder coat for $20 a wheel. I think the writing is on the wall. I just need it to be on my computer screen on where I can find the wheels so I can cash in on this paint deal.

Re: Steel wheels?

It took me 2 years to find 4 good ones. One at a time. That's a good price with tires.

Re: Steel wheels?

And Sicklajoie was my inspiration and help, as was ss_nova69 and SpecialK (and I'd also like to thank the Academy) LOL. Pretty cool how we can all pay it forward.

I'd offer to get you some at the yard and mail them to you, but these things are so blasted heavy, shipping would be a killer. One steelie seriously weighs as much as 2 or 3 of the wheels I had on there before.

I know you and I have been PMing throughout the day, but is there anything else you need help with?

LOL. Yeah, no joke. LA is huge. That's where I'm from

Problem is, there's more demand and tons of people, so it can be harder to find some of this stuff

Re: Steel wheels?

I haven't had a problem finding these wheels,or any other factory steelies, around here...yet. I've considered grabbing all I can up but the fact that they cost so much to ship makes it so no one is interested unless you about give the wheels away. So,I just keep a set of each around to keep my options open.

Re: Steel wheels?

It's just funny how locations vary. Don't feel bad,you can find the trucks in solid shape. I just have wheels
