Put an obd scanner on it and see if it registers anything (even key on should show power).....and before you do that hook a hot 12v from anything (even just straight off a battery) to the PUMP and make sure they fuel pump wasn't DOA. By far the most common dead part out of the box is a fuel pump.

I did put 12v straight to the wire that goes to the sending unit and the pump turns on.

Congrats. What eneded up being the reason you were not getting power to the fuel pump?

User error, i had a terminal grounded that needed to go to the starter.
