Looks like it has come a long way, nice job. I like that style grille also. What`s the story on the 1957 150 in the before pic?

They're just the base model work truck grilles to my knowledge. They came out with the side-by-side V-series lights.

EDIT: Yep, looked them up... They are:

15628797 GRILLE, RAD (CHEV) (EXC V22) (1989-91)
15629622 GRILLE, RAD (GMC) (EXC V22) (1989-91)

Reference RPO V22: GRILLE, RADIATOR(CHROME) CHROME GRL(V22)

From what I can tell for 81+ V22 also includes dual front lamps.

Re: working squares lets see them

i think i over work mine lol. no real pics but my k30 i use for scap and geting other trucks. have had over 3k in the bed she didnt even sag abit. my c20 well... lets say that if she where to never start again i would be ok with that. pulled out f650's that where over 30k. f350's that where over loaded with rock and stuck in a ditch or to move 20k worth of scap in the bed a bobcat power rake yard rake and bail spike. the bumper was on the ground lol. in the wrecker i think the front end has spent more time looking at the sky then on the ground. full 4door one ton diesels get heavy never mind what i have done with the winch. why that cable has not broke is beond me. draged a 3/4 ton over rock pile on its roof to scape it and she never even slowed down at all. i love my old chevys. good luck doing any thing like that with someting new

Thanks. I miss that '84. It was an all time favorite...Camper Special,6.2 w/Banks Sidewinder,Gear Vendors,Detroit Locker/Tru-Trac,desert mural on tailgate/pinstripe(subtle)/lettering. The stereo was an Alpine w/aux. amp and Kickers behind the seat. It had an Alpine cell phone that matched the stereo...green illuminated buttons...and it interacted with the stereo. When a call came in the volume for the radio turned down or the cassette would pause. I paid $700 for that phone! This was in the late '80s.
The '78 was a Camper Special, too. I've always had a thing for camper trucks. It had a 454/4spd and a wood bed floor,as well as good stereo. I warmed that motor up a bit and enjoyed surprising people with a fast loaded work truck. I've always used ratchet straps to tie down the ladders and scaffold on the racks. That must have been a sight all loaded up with full racks carrying 30'/24'/20'/18' walk boards,24'/32' ladders, and 6 24' pump jack poles w/jacks haulin' butt out of a light. I had lettering on the tailgate that said,"No turbo No injection Just one stinkin' Quadrajet!". This was back in the '80s when people were all about Japanese vehicles being so much better and Toyota was calling those little trucks with dual wheels a 1t and even had a SRW pickup with 1Ton on the tailgate,as well as 5spd and anything else under the hood.

Re: working squares lets see them

The dark gray 86, just changed charts Thursday with it. Was able to get into most wells in two wheel drive with a little throttle. Works way better if I don't have to ride the quad (way cleaner). The light gray 82, got it given to me from a neighbour. Put a clutch in it and different tranny, lifted it, and threw new tires on. Drove it from mid October until about a week ago. Run like a top. Total investment 900.00. Pretty hard to beat that. The blue 80 was given to me. Some deer damage on the front end - bumper still needs replaced but drives good. It's the wifes truck (she won't let me near it).

We had in the Netherlands C10's as elite police cars for a few decades. They easily loaded 12 people on saturday nights

C10's started in the 60's:

Ya,no kidding!! I was going into a compressor site on Sat. with the 86,couldn't tell some of the road had been washed out...covered over with snow & bounced it through a 20" ditch.Other than rearranging most of the stuff inside cab & broke rear shock, nothing else happened.Try that with a newer IFS truck!! It would still be ditch!!!Old Chevys rule!!
