87 tbi no start at times

Truck runs good most of time, when rains or is humid will not start? I think I have an ignition switch problem,anyone have suggestions?

Cracked distributor cap? Getting moisture inside the cap.

What Roy said. Check the ICM connection on the dizzy. Might not be making enough contact. Open it up, if there's surface rust that's likely your problem. Lightly sand it off (both pieces) then use dielectric grease on the contact area before screing back down.

my 87 had issues like that
i even replaced the pump
got stuck again,
found a cut/nicked/hard baked area in the power line over the drivers rear wheels arch

Good point John. Had a starting issue with my K5, couldn't figure it out til we dropped the tank. Some low IQ PO had spliced the trailer plug ground into the fuel pump ground wire. Sometimes the connection was loose enough to cause a problem.

When you say "Will not start" do you mean will not crank over? Or cranks over and will not start?

I had the exact same issue on my '87 tbi 350. I put a new ignition module and dist cap. Problem was solved.
