Back seat ??

Anyone ever run a 3rd row seat from a 80's suburban? If so I would like to see pictures. What brackets did you use? How did you make something fit. I'm going to start to fabricate something to make it fit in my 72. Any ideas or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Back seat ??

Yep! No pics right now but can get some tonight.
It's width is just right & you can fold the back down if needed. However I did take the armrest off as they were hitting the fender wells. But it was not hitting by much you may could slightly bend them in if wanted to leave them on.
Not sure what the brackets are off of, as they were on the old seat & I just bolted them onto the new one. Basically drilled holes in the floor, use grade 8 bolts & big heavy washers on bottom side.

Re: Back seat ??

the 69-72 Blazer has a steel floor, so that would make it easy to weld the pockets in from an 80's Suburban (or Blazer) and have a quick fold/remove seat. and the cushions are close enough in size/shape that you could adapt your upholstery to fit so it would still look period correct.
