Firewall grommet installation
I have new firewall grommets for my speedometer cable and parking brake cable holes. But how are the cables ends inserted through the grommets? Seems to me I will have to cut the grommets because all the cable ends are too large to go through the grommet.

You could take a sharp razor blade an cut it so you can slip around the cable.

I don't recall the speedometer grommet but I bought some new emergency brake grommets for my trucks and it has a split on one side so it can go over the cable.
