Which Sway Bars fits?
I searched the forum, probably not asking the right word combination. What year of trucks have sway bars that will fit our trucks? Going to bone yard to look. Thx

Re: Which Sway Bars fits?
from what I remember some 67-72's came with bars so you could look for them, but anything from a 73-87 2wd truck should work. 4x4's are different so don't grab one of those. I snagged a big bar from a c30 for only $40 and from what I've read that's high. Check this out:

Re: Which Sway Bars fits?
The 73-87's are probably your best bet. Like was mentioned try to find one from a C30 or like I did a C20 with the 9000LB Camper Package as they have the larger 1 1/4 inch bar which works super on my truck.

The '67-'87 half to full ton trucks will interchange. I just bought one off of an '86 half-ton from a salvage yard for my '69. Shipping and all I think I have about $65 in it.

Re: Which Sway Bars fits?
I gave $17 for one at Pull a Part.IIRC that is the price on any of theirs.I got a 1/2 ton bar but haven't mounted it yet,so I may get a larger one next time I go.

Re: Which Sway Bars fits?
I got a 1 1/4 bar from a p 30 chassis box van an it was under 10$ seems most guys dont give the p's a look but they are about the same chassis as our trucks and get very over looked in the yards

Re: Which Sway Bars fits?
The fun part is getting the two front crossmember rivets out of the frame so you can mount the brackets!

Re: Which Sway Bars fits?
Anyone know if you can find a 1" REAR sway bar on any vehicles out there, or is it easier just to get an aftermarket bar??
