Rebuilt motor not firing
Any ideas would be helpful. Rebuilt 350, set it on frame, new plugs, wires, distributor, points etc. I get 12v out of coil wire but nothing out of the plug wires so voltage seems to be getting to the points, not sure where to check now.

Re: Rebuilt motor not firing
do you get spark out of the coil when ground side is connected then disconnected?

Re: Rebuilt motor not firing
First place to check is to make sure the points are opening. If I remember correctly (it's been a long time) the points gap should be about .019 when the top of the lobe is in contact.
That should get you in the ballpark. |

Re: Rebuilt motor not firing
Check the rotor.I've forgotten it and had a day or 2 looking for a problem that I created.
