Re: 1970 project/ DD "instant death"
got the control arms from my buddy who took them off a 68 thats getting bagged.
so i have some fresh stuff to work on ill modify these and just bolt them in since its my daily driver i decided to cup them 3" and move the lower balljoint up 2" shrinking the lca 3/4" to remove the uca shims and pie cut the upper to prevent binding of the balljoint

Re: 1970 project/ DD "instant death"
Are you happy with the amount of lift you get in the rear? If you moved your bag location forward onto the trailing arms (ahead of the axle) you would get much better lift and ride quality because of being able to operate with less air pressure in the bags. I suspect in order to get enough lift you have to run a lot of PSI in the rear which makes them ride like a Conastoga wagon.

i cruise with appraox 20psi in the rear and approx 55 in the front i concidered running the bags up front on the controle arms for the extra lift but didnt really need it. i know there is alot more factors with the bags mounted near or on axle but it still drives like a caddy. thank you for the advise tho

i know allot of you guys have done a stock floor bodydrop but i want to get lower. can you guys hook me up with some pics of some 67-72 body drops, im thinking like 4" iv done several yotas but it seems like a different process due to size and frame design

Re: 1970 project/ DD "instant death"
Nice work. I have a totally unrelated question to most of your thread. What kind of rims are you using, and where did you get the baby moons? And how do they stay on the rims? I don't see any tabs or anything to keep them on. I have some 16" steelies from a Ford (don't be haters) and want to get baby moons.
