Wiring Gremlins....
Having a little trouble with the ignition on my truck. I haven't started to look yet, but I thought I'd ask here first.
I went to shut it off yesterday, and it wouldn't. I turned the key, and she kept going. I had to unplug the alternator and disconnect the battery. This morning, I hooked the battery back up, and the I could hear the fan coming on, with the key off. It will start fine, but still no turning off. The ignition switch has been "sticky" lately, so I'm thinking the obvious (and easiest), replace the keyswitch. Has some one ran into this and it been something else? Tips? |

Re: Wiring Gremlins....
Before you replaced the switch, clean and inspect the contacts. Sometimes a good cleaning is all you need on these old trucks.
