New alternator For One Wire Conversion
Hello again everyone,
I was thinking about completing the one wire/internal regulator alternator conversion while I was cleaning up my engine bay. Do you think that the old wiring within the truck would put up with the output of this alternator? 140 AMP Alternator On Ebay Thanks Everyone

Re: New alternator For One Wire Conversion
No, the 140a output is better than twice the largest at 61a. Add in the fact its 41 years old and you see there is a problem. Do a search on alternator conversions. VetteVet has done a number of posts on the correct installation of a internal regulated alternator.
