Question Question about headers

Hello everybody, I am getting ready to install a new exhaust system. I want to know the pros/cons of short and long tube headers. I have a 72 c10 swb 350/350. Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Question about headers

I wish I had left the original manifolds on mine. The things I dont like about my long tubes is they are too close to the brake line, I have to put a piece of cardboard between them and the oil filter when i change oil to keep it from running all over them, and should probably put a heat shield around the starter. I dont know about the short ones but I have to put most of my plugs in with a wrench and a couple of my plug wire boots are harder to get on. those are just some of the things I dont like about my long tubes, its small stuff but still annoying. I would guess that with short tubes it would eliminate most of that.
