Power Brake Upgrade?

Installing a factory unit onto a 71. First question is there any difference between the manual brake pedal and the power one? When I hooked up the rod to the pedal it moved the brake pedal a lot closer to the floor. I adjusted the rod out, but it still does not hit the bump stop like it did with manual brakes.
Is this normal?
The rod, and brakets all came off a 72
One other thing my truck has a clutch if that makes any difference.
Thanks

Re: Power Brake Upgrade?

The pedal on power brakes sits lower, almost even with the accelerator pedal,
which is normal.

It will not hit the bumper like the manual brake setup.
