After seeing a local guys truck, new plans for my suspension...

Can anyone guess what I'm doing next?....
OK!
After seeing this local truck for a LOOONG time, I FINALLY got a GOOOD look at it today. It's running 275/40 17's all around, and the fender is literally on TOP of the tire. So, I've figured out, he's dropped 6/8...so, yep, that's my next suspension mod...
3" Drop Coil, 2" Drop Shackle (The shackle will more than likely be custom made)
In doing this mod, I will definately have to:
1.) Swap to the headers that Low84 has.
2.) C-notch the rear
3.) Run 255/45 17's up front, 275/40 17's out back.

Really? Hmm..the guy that drives the local truck is a TOTAL weirdo. He has a fro (he's a white guy) and he is continually in a state of highness.
The truck looks SIICK, and I WILL get a picture of it next time I see it (The camera is in the car as of right now). It may lend to the fact that it has a phantom grille, 100% shaved, roll pan and painted with flat black paint.

First thing is, it will make you forget to attach pictures. Then, it will do this to your A-arms....

BTW, that's not my actual ground clearance, the truck was jacked up when I took that picture.

Couldn't you box the lower arm so that wouldn't happen?

Yup. Really doesn't happen that often once you learn how to drive that low. Mine has been at 6/8 for about 6-7 years now.

Why would you waste the time making a custom shackle when you can get them from 20 different places?

Word on the control arm, anything lower than 5" up front is asking to break a control arm.

Jeeezzzzz!!! Just bag the sucker. You keep changing your mind every five minutes on what you want to do to the suspension. Get some bags so you CAN change you mind every five minutes

Switches are fun. :p

Yep, I too had the control arm situation too. I drove it one night and about killed myself. I ordered 1" drop coils the next day. It sure did look badass though. Btw, I have skidplates now so that I drive low with it bagged. No worries
