Where does the horn wire go??

May sound silly but where do you put the horn wire in the column? I had a truck column rebuilt and ordered a new Billet Specialties wheel and adapter. It came with a ground wire but no horn wire?? and I didnt see one in the column... Horn no workie without a power wire for it, where does it go in the column? Sorry if a dumb question, it's my first column/wheel swap.

Thanks for reading!

Not sure about your exact application, but there's typically no "power wire" for the horn in the steering column.

When pressed, the horn button applies ground to a wire that goes to the horn relay under the dash.
Thus activated, the relay sends -12vdc to the horn(s).

Re: Where does the horn wire go??

Check the instruction link below for a Grant wheel. See page 2 in particular. My 70 needed the wire part shown. It is not sold individually but when I called Grant they were kind enough to mail me one. The old Grant I took off had a different method. This is just a thought but check the page shown and see if your column looks like this. Could be the steering wheel being used may need this to connect.
