275/60, 15x10 and 2.5" spindles
This is my last thread about suspension and wheel/tire size, I swear..lol.
My '72 is originally a 6cyl truck, but has a built 350 now. I realize that springs sag overtime. If I install 2.5" drop spindles with my original springs, 4" drop in the rear, 275/60/15 tires mounted on 15x10" rallys with 4.5" back spacing, do you think I'll experience rubbage? Thank you for your support, Sid

Re: 275/60, 15x10 and 2.5" spindles
You may have to trim a little i did but my tires probably balloon out more than yours. I have 15 x 12 w 6.5 bs. I really think you'll be ok but its iffy. You really are not that low tho. I have a full 9" drop in back and before the trim had about 1/2" each side on outter lip a delux trac bar may help you to keep the rear from shifting side to side more than the stocker.

Re: 275/60, 15x10 and 2.5" spindles
Sid.....recall, I'm sporting 295/50/15x10 (4"bs) with ~6" rear drop. No rubbing. However! Rodznov11 brings up a good point about your axle length. You should take some measurements.
On the fronts I have 265/50/15x10 (4"bs) with 4.5 drop....no rubbing, not even close. I will be going to a 60 series in the front and I don't think I will have any clearance issues. BTW...Your new bumper looks great! Posted via Mobile Device

Thanks for the compliment on the bumper also. I talked to Dan today, but we were talking about his new truck he bought yesterday (Very Sharp 2013 Chevy) and I failed to ask if he still had the tailgate and rear bumper for sale. Gotta get wheels (rallys) and my drop kit first, but really hoping to snag that gate soon!

Re: 275/60, 15x10 and 2.5" spindles
Sid...luckily when I put on the CPP 2.5" drop spindles the tie rod endS did not rub the wheel/rim. However if my back spacing was a little deeper...maybe 4.5" bs there would have been contact and I would have to do some grinding or change wheels bs or diameter. Take this into consideration. Early Classic's drop spindles may be configured as such that avoids this conflict. They should be able to advise you correctly.
