Control Arm Questions - HELP
I have a 69 C10 and removed my control arm shafts from my control arm.............The shaft (round bar) has a notch in it that fits into the u-bolt holder..........I failed to pay attention if the notch goes to the front or rear of the control arm.
Anybody know? I would appreciate you help 69 Air Cab |

Too dark out now but, can you look at the other side? Or look at the spot on the frame realy close where it attatches and you can usually see discolorations in the rust/paint. Match those with the cross shaft and presto...

Can't remember about the drivers side, but just replaced the pass. side lwr. control arm, (too low for our city streets) and the notch, or (drill start) aligns to the rivet head on the foward part of cross member

I have cleaned and repainted all surfaces. I did feel the cup piece the u-bolts go through and it has the rivit on both front and rear sides where the control attaches to frame. THat makes me wonder if it matters if the notched side of the shaft can go either way.
