WTB - 60-63 Speedometer
I don't need the whole dash, just the speedometer center cluster. If you have a scratched up, cracked, ugly-ole dash, but remember that the speedometer worked last time you drove it in one of your parts trucks.... I could use it.
I've had mine apart twice and even put in a new cable.... nothin (but the ODO does work)... so, any help? Thanks, Brad |

Re: WTB - 60-63 Speedometer
Thank you both. I'm unsure what's wrong with it... ODO clicks off mileage, needle sits at '0'.
Like yours Trs', my needle was broken (and the assy seemed to spin backwards). I super glue repaired my pointer only to watch it bury itself CCW and break off again. I again re-glued the pointer and replaced the speedometer cable, now the needle sits at zero and does nothing. If either of you has a spare assy you're not needing, I'd appreciate it. Let me know what you need for it to 28540. Thanks!!! |

Re: WTB - 60-63 Speedometer
I don't have a complete speedo to get rid of, but I have a few isolated pieces. The speedos are pretty simple to fix....only maybe 15-20 parts total involved. Sounds to me like the little box w/the spring inside it has gone. You will have to find a new needle. The needle is weighted and very finicky. I don't think the weight from the glue will help it any. I will find my box of speedo parts and see what is in it. I know I don't have any extra needles, but may have the box w/spring.
