Custom fit universal plug wires.......BULL!!!

Gotta be false advertisement. These wires aren't custom fit at all. They look really long to me!

Custom fit universal. Sounds like an oxymoron to me.

Re: Custom fit universal plug wires.......BULL!!!

My advise, get a spark plug wire terminal crimper and make your plug wires the length you want them. Unless you are doing a OEM 100 point restoration, then it is OK to make them a custom length. I have very rarely ever seen a made to fit aftermarket plug wire fit properly.

Look on Summits Web site for the crimper. I think they are around $50.00. You won't be disappointed.

Re: Custom fit universal plug wires.......BULL!!!

I did mine from Autozone...they were $30 or so. MSD 8mm plug wires that only ONE end cripmed. The other end, the dist end had either HEI or STANDARD ends. They included a crimp die that actually worked. Each wire had at least 5" of extra wire. I was able to measure each wire a couple of times, cut and crimp in about 45 minutes.

Re: Custom fit universal plug wires.......BULL!!!

Better than the plug wires I bought that are barely long enough and have to run overtop of the valve covers to reach the plugs. Apparently 1979 corvette plug wires are the perfect length. Little longer than stock but not way too long like the universal kits

The smiley face at that end of my post what to indicate I was joking with what I posted. They are cut to fit and I have the crimper to go with them. I just stuck the ends in to see which wire would have to go which way based on my plenum clearance. When it comes to wires, measure many times and cut once. I just thought it looked funny as I was running through a mockup! lol

Oh,ok. That explains it,then. I was going to say maybe your engine shrunk.

Hey Longhorn 70,who makes those finned valve covers with the PCV and oil fill?
