Lq4/700
I bought a lq4 from a Denali and when I got it the engine didn't have the flex plate with it. Nw I know it would have had a 4l65 behind it. I'm putting a 700r4 what's the best rout for me to go since I don't have a flex plate at all ?

Re: Lq4/700
Spacer before or after the flexplate. Would the flexplate that came with a lq4/4l65 be flat kr dished?

Re: Lq4/700
I am not sure on the 4l65e flexplate.
Spacer goes between the crank and the flexplate. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Lq4/700
i am running 04 lq4 with a 97 4l60e converted to 4l65e and all you need is to purchase a stock 6.0 flywheel which is very similar to a th400 flywheel. it has the spacer built into it which will allow you to run an older style tranny without having to buy extra parts you will use 700 torque converter just make sure you elongate the holes slightly on the flexplate to allow bolt up of flexplate to torque converter. There is a thread on here with that minor mod detail.

Re: Lq4/700
I didn't have to enlongate the bolt holes but I do have an aftermarket torque converter.
