Bagged dropmember clearance

I'm running an 18/20" combo with my f&r dropmembers. Will the front 245/45/18 tire at 26.7" clear the heater box when laid out, or even with a very low ride height, or do I definitely remove it?
I've seen Hazel and others with a fabbed lower profile heater setup, but they're running a larger wheel/tire.

I would get a vintage air or any aftermarket one that's all under the dash it cleans up the engine bay a lot.What year is your truck btw?If its a 72 back take a look at http://www.classicautoair.com/

Ahh, I forgot that minor detail! It's a '69. Heat only.
I'm familiar with vintage air, just wondering, before waiting until I get it all finished up front, lay it on the frame, and realize the heater box needs to come out.

Its gonna be close. You might not have to do any mods to it with that size tire.

I don't mind yanking it if I have to, but I figured the smaller size of my setup compared to the guys running 20's or 22's up front might allow me to leave it.

I know this is an old post and I don't know if your still looking for an answer but yes it will clear. I know for a fact that you can also run a 245-35-20 and it will still lay frame with the factory heater box ,it touches when fully laid out but doesn't stop it from going all the way down.

Thanks Del. I got the answer...the old fashioned way! The 245/45/18 just touches the blower motor when fully aired out...and looks damn good doing it.
