squeeky ride

i hear it over my exhaust when i am rolling slow.

is this where a chasis lube comes in to play?

forgive the greenhorn question, but of all my rides i have never had to deal with curing a squeek.

cheers

Could be your speedo cable, mine makes a horrible racket at most all speeds until it warms up...

the things that come to mind are squeaking bushing in the control arms ( upper and lower) you can usually lubricate them to eliminate the squeak, a bad bearing on the driveshaft ( the one that bolts to the crossmember) the brake pads being worn so the wear indicator is scraping although thats more of a squeal that disappears when you apply the brake a bad coil spring seat that has some metal on metal or even a bad shock bushing ( replace shocks therye cheap enough) you have someone push up and down on the vehicle while you stick your nose around to try to isolate it

I'll second that squeaky speedo . Thought my front wheel
bearings were going bad.

With my bad hearing and no carpet ,this truck is like a tin can.
Hard to pinpoint noises.

Unhooked my speedo cable and the squeak is gone !

A day or two later .....man , seems like its been a long time
for that mileage to increase..... as my gas gauge doesn't work.

OH !!

My speedo cable used to jump around and squeak and make noise when it was cold. Took it out and lubed it with lithium grease and hasn't happened since.

thanks for the responses. given me several good ideas on places to check.
i thought it sounded like spring squeek, but i dunno. i'll check it all.

i know when i would go to the mechanic they would always offer a chassis lube. i guess i was hoping for a quick fix heh

Could also be a bad body mount. I'm having problems with one now.
