Flux core wire
I have a Miller 175 and bottle - using a 75/25 mix. I am a pretty new welder and have only used solid wire with gas. I was thinking of getting a roll of flux core wire to tinker with. Some of my welding may take me to the field or fence line for the repair, would rather not tote the bottle
The solid wire I am currently using is .030. Which size flux core would I need for 1/8 - 3/16 flat stock? Would I need a larger diameter wire .035 or .045? What would be a good general purpose wire? |

i usually use about .035 for plate with fluxcore
just slow the weld and make sure its burning through really well
