should I sell the blazer?

I had a guy come up to me today and ask if I would sell my blazer. I told him it would take alot of money, and he said name your price. So what should I do? I just put new 35" BFG MUD TAS with 15x10 chrome corvette ralleys on it sunday, new exhaust. lift, shocks, steering wheel, and steering arm. I need help making up my mind. Nice truck. If you are truely attached to it and built it to keep forever then no.......... But If he'll give you enough to buy and build two more just like it I'd be thinkin' about it. You know they say everything has it's price.

well name your price, (make it high) if he agrees then you got what you wanted for it, then you can go out and save another one!

I've done a name your price before. I intended to do another one, and never did. I regret it, but the money did ease the regrets some. What does that Blazer mean to you? If you feel you can replace it with another then go for it. If money is not an issue, and you feel something might be missing, then keep it. Only you can make this call. Don't let the money factor be the thing that pushes you into a decision!

BAD4X4- I saw all of the pics of that blazer when you got it. If it is a bucketload of money for the "name that price" then go for it. I just don't think I have EVER seen a original blazer in as nice of shape as yours. Most blazers need sheet metal work for the rust. I think it is PRICELESS to get an orig. RUSTFREE truck or blazer in these years of trucks. Remember how long you wanted it? Didn't you keep asking the owner to "name his price" I know you got a great deal on it, but $ comes and goes. If that blazer isn't all you want in a blazer sell it and buy the one you want, but if you love your blaze...don't sell. I have heard to many guys saying "I NEVER should have sold that truck!" Well, depends on how attached to it you are. Do you want to move on to another project, or enjoy the blazer? Name your price sounds like a good deal on your part too....maybe you could even come out ahead on the deal. Personally, i proably wouldn't sell it, but it is your blazer

I've heard a couple of jokes before about wife sleeping with guy for $1,000,000, she thought and answered yes, then asked about $100K, she paused and said yes, then offered $1000, reply no, what do you think I am a prostitute, man answered well yes we already establsihed that, now we are haggling on price. Not real relivent but Psycology of sales is where is first step to get your mind agreeing to sell then figuring price comes next.

I would put it 50% over best price you think you might get in best market and hold firm, these trucks in that shape are really hard to come by. There are quite a few peiple out there where money isn't to much of an object, espeically when you factor in our time searching for these trucks and wild goose chases and also what it costs to build one. You own the truck and your in drivers seat. I always tell poeple everything (almost) is for sale for a price. I did have a guy call my bluff on parts truck. I made decent money found a replacement parts truck and he got what he wanted. I made terms of cash next day and truck gone in 3 days and he didn't bat an eye. You know these trucks as good or better than most of us. I have added up what it would take me to hire out and build one of these trucks and it adds up fast, plus lots of time and headaches.

Hate to see you sell but would understand for the right price. Think about all those money bags paying all that money for those big houses over there, $10k-$30 isn't drop in bucket for one of these trucks. Talked with friend tonight working in Bend in town and he staked out 2 $1,000,000 homes last weekend for builders.

You paid 1/2 of what that truck cost. The truck I mentioned was a 71 1/2 ton without motor and trans and salvage title I had a couple fo years ago.

I don't remember you begging me for dads blue 71, just dissing on it on price!! You got good deal on it, hope you share the profits!!

I would give him a price that includes the cost of all the parts and your man hours. I know it would probably come to about $40,000 just in hours alone, but try to figure out what you NEED to get out of it, then approach him

Ok everybody,,,,,,,,,,, We decided to keep it. The guy did not take the bait so the hell with him. Im gonna keep it, because I tried to buy it from the orig owner for so many years. It would be hard to find a blazer this all orig when I bought it. Yes I did and will keep all orig parts and etc I replace or take off of it.
