Fuel cap in bed floor ideas

Guys I have a plastic fuel cell under my truck bed in the rear. It is an RCI plastic tank. I want to have the wood floor to have the gas cap in it. Any ideas on how to connect the rci race tank to the bed wood and seal it? I have seen plenty of caps for the wood.

Re: Fuel cap in bed floor ideas

I am interested to see what suggestions you get I have the same fuel cell. Any chance you can post pics of how you mounted yours. Mine was just bolted to the wood by previous owner and that had messed up the wood. I currently have mine sitting in the front of the bed.

Maybe I'm not understanding the question, but just take a fuel cell filler neck/adapter and a short piece of fuel fill hose between that and the marine style cap you posted? Done.

Re: Fuel cap in bed floor ideas

So the fuel cell is between the frame rails under the bed floor. I know if it was metal we could fabricate something, but due to the plastic I need a way to connect an extended spout to the RCI tank.

Raised bed floor

Only pic I have of the fuel cell

We just used a stock filler cap, then bought this door, it works very well,

Look back at my post above, you can buy extended fuel fill necks that bolt on where your current fuel filler is. Just be sure to get the correct bolt pattern. Jegs or Summit should have what you need.
