No, not an engineer. It just gave me something to do when I was dreaming about buying a crew cab.
The Jeep steering mod uses the steering shaft from a Jeep Cherokee (XJ model I think from around 85 to 94???) to replace the steering shaft in our trucks. The Jeep shaft eliminates the rag joint and tightens up the steering. It is almost a bolt in modification but you should read up on it because there are some year steering columns that it won't work with and possibly some different steering boxes.
