73-87 frame on 72
How difficult is this? I am thinking about making a 72 shortbed 4x4 and thought "hey, why not put the body on a mid seventies frame" Anyone here done this?

I want to say it should work fine, but i'm not an expert by any means. Seems like I have heard the frames are basically the same, thats just what my heads says I heard though, so we all know what that could mean.

Yes i have done this with my 70 4x4 on a 79 frame. the frame must be shortened behind the cross memeber and the body mounts just take a little fabrigating.

nice truck, and thaks for the info. So it is basic enough where someone like me can figure it out (never dealt with frame shortening but moving a few body mounts no big deal.
