Instrument Cluster Options
Hey guys. Just looking at some options I have at replacing the cracked cluster bezel. The whole cluster needs wiring work. I thought about gutting the plastic white housing as half my guages are after market and the stock printed wiring paper is crap. None of my stock dash lights work so I figured I may just put in aftermarket everything. As for the bezel itself..is there a flat one that would be easier to mount aftermarket guages too?

Re: Instrument Cluster Options
There are bezels on Ebay that you drill your own holes in.

Re: Instrument Cluster Options
77c10 I like the looks of the top dash. Looks clean cut. I did check out the website. I like what they have goin. Maybe after I save a few $$ then I can get one and a new speedometer and tach. The only two that haven't been replaced. Seeing as how those lights don't work anyways..makes for night driving a pain. Cant see how fast I'm goin! Ill have to go back and check to see if the dashes have all the factory holes like for my blinkers and what not. Has other guys also thought about taking the same route and gutted the inside of their dash bezel? Also..when it comes to speedometer..should I find one that will use the manualcable or a different setup?

Re: Instrument Cluster Options
And to add a thought..77c10 on the bottom pic..I can find a great stock wood grain bezel that matches my dash in great condition. How hard was it to get your guages to sit IN and not ON the dash if you get me.

He did my current dash and did a wonderful job. As far as the 1st pic, the previous owner of my truck did that. It is nothing more than a street sign that was cut to fit and had holes drilled in it.

Re: Instrument Cluster Options
77c10, I love your new dash. Looks great! The blank (or drilled) dash panels are made by Classic Dash: http://www.classicdash.com/shopping/...rilled-Panels/ . I think the older versions didn't have any tilt to the gauges and people said they were hard to read. It looks like the newer versions have tilted gauges. There pretty expensive though....
