radiator swap? also suppliers...
my 91 burb needs a new radiator asap. what I want to do is take the one from my 77 K20 (still good) and put it in the 91 burb (2500) and buy a new one for the '77.. they are both the heavy duty cooling system with a 4-row radiator.. Will they physically swap? The top of the core supports are so different I cant tell.. Im hoping they swap...
also where do you recommend I buy online? Any good/bad stories about any suppliers? I recall hearing good things about radiator.com maybe Ill check them out Thanks------ mike |

ive always used modine rads and i get them at the local supply shop usually for around $100-125

I think they will swap. I used the 75 radiator on my Blazer when I put the 88 radiator support in. It *should* work. I bought a lifetime HD radiator from Autozone a few months ago, it was about $150.

I got mine from Radiators.com and love it. Brand new not rebuilt and lifetime warranty. Had it to me in a few hours after ordering it with free shipping.

91 MIGHT have the engine oil cooler in the radiator. If so then the 77 won't fit.
If yours has a seperate oilcooler then look up a 88 454 burb. That will pull a 4 core and for what ever reason it's cheaper then 89-91. I'm running a Modine. Radiator.com or radiators.com has it listed for around $170.
