My father has a 2005 GMC serria 4 door Z-71, and the service air bag light flashes off and on for no reason and does not matter what the truck is doing.Smooth or bumpy roads all the same.Anybody have any trouble like this before? thanks

Check the seatbelt wiring connectors under the drivers side seat track.

Re: air bag service light

The front impact sensors are also notorious for going bad. They either go bad or just get bad connections. I've replaced one on my 05 and the other needs replaced now.

Re: air bag service light

Is it a big job changing the impact sensors? I have heard bad stories about changing them.

Re: air bag service light

I'm not sure. My mechanic buddy changed mine and said there's nothing to it. He said it takes a couple minutes to change one
