Here is some info on the wood itself.....

The wood at the front of the bed goes on top of the sheet metal angle .
the wood at the side of the bed goes on top of the crossmembers and under the angle (where the holes are )
the wood goes under the fenderwell
the wood at the rear of the bed sits on top of the sheet metal angle at the rear of the bed.
all pieces of the wood after they are cut to length and width sit approximately 1/2" apart (the steel strips dictate this and must have enough width to clear the carriage bolts that hold the steel strips down------washers hold the boards in place where they do not go through a crossmember...)
