'86 swb frame, free o good home
Like I said in the title, I have a frame from an '86 SWB that is free to a good home. The frame has been cleaned and painted, but like everything else good in life, there is a catch. The frame has a C notch in it. I need the C- notch and rear spring hangers. The notch has been bolted in place, and is welded on the ends. If you can get me a set of stock 1/2 ton spring hangers and a C notch, I will leave these alone. I really need to make room in the garage and get the suspension swapped into my 3/4 ton (hence the need for the spring hangers). I do not want to ship this, it is for pick up only in Richardson (north Dallas) TX. This would be great for someone wanting to get a start on a frame off or to do a shortbed swap. The brake lines and some fuel lines are there; you are welcome to what ever I do not need in my CCSB swap, for the great price of free.

I picked up a SWB parts truck yesterday. I'll let you go ahead and pass this frame on down the line. I thank you for your time.

Re: '86 swb frame, free o good home
Come on!
I can take some. It really is just a frame, painted black. Since the c notch will not work with my 3/4 ton frame, I am going to leave it.

Works for me. Do you have any spring hangers? If so, I can leave these. Not sure that many people would want to travel too far for a bare frame, so you may end up the winner.

Re: '86 swb frame, free o good home
Jonboy,
Just to be clear are you talking about the brackets riveted to the frame or the hanger that bolts into that bracket and to the leaf spring?

Re: '86 swb frame, free o good home
I need to keep the ones riveted to the frame (or have a set to replace them). The 1/2 ton ones space the springs out farther than the 3/4 ton ones that are currently on my truck.

Re: '86 swb frame, free o good home
The set I have are also riveted to the frame under the truck they are on, so I do not need a set. However, nor do I have a set readily available, is that a problem? If so, we can work something out.

Re: '86 swb frame, free o good home
It's not really a problem. I was just trying to save some extra steps for both of us. I gan grind the rivets out on these here.
