New Interior Stuff

New Carpet, New Shifter Boot, Covered the Speaker Box with colour appropriate vinyl, and Closed in the back of the Stock Seat with same vinyl. Do you think I should paint front speaker/kick/vent panels body colour or leave them black?

I think they should match too since the box behind the seat is blue. BUT I'd suggest you use the blue vinyl. I think it'll look much more finished.

By the way, your truck looks GREAT!

Can you tell me whose gas pedal assembly you have there? Mine won't quite return to idle despite my taking it apart, cleaning, painting an lubing. Hopefully it's an eBay cheapie you're thrilled with instead of a $130 Lokar???

Bolted through the floor with no plate.

Just being nosy now....what are the blue and red wires hanging down onto the behind-seat speaker box for?

Did you buy that seat cover pre-made (form what source?) or was that done by an upholsterer? I really like the fabric, it looks so era-correct.

How about some details on how you built that speaker box, photos if you have them. I assume it's just sitting there? No need to bolt it down, or anything?

I tried a carpet kit and it fit like s..t so I bought the actual carpet and had a pro upholsterer do it for me.

The wires actually go up to my third brake light. Made the bracket out of an old aluminum STOP sign and then buffed, polished, and lacquered it.
Seat cover was pre-made from CARSINC.com, it's their Cameo cover. The Upholsterer showed me how to do it and left me to my own devices.
No pics of the speaker box being made. I built the whole thing out of flat cardboard sheet stock and then took the templates and cut all pieces from 3/4" MDF. The box is actually 3 boxes bolted internally together. Had to do it this way in order to get them to fit in the truck. And yes, it is through bolted through the sheet metal of the floor of the truck. That sucker is not going anywhere.

Thanks for the info and the tip to Carsinc. I'd never heard of them before. I just tried to request a swatch for their gree/green Cameo seat but it won't let me. I'll have to give them a call.

Good on you for making the bracket. What's the light itself from? Kinda looks like an extra long side marker from a boat trailer(?)

Smart idea to make the box from cardboard templates, I'll remember that. After seeing yours I'm thinking of doing the same but incorporating some shallow storage into it, above where yours stops now.
