Gas guage ?
Can a gas gauge be reset? My needle is stuck in the 3 o'clock position. Can this be fixed? How can I tell if it will work or not? How do you tell if a sending unit is working or not?
Dumb question...Where is the oil pressure sending unit on a 292?

sounds like your not getting power to the sending unit,,,,if you disconect the brown wire from the sending unit of a "known"good unit ,it will do exactly what yours is doing,,,jeff

Mine did the exact same thing. Bought a new one from GMC Paul's and after installing it the problem was gone.

Slide your seet forward and look at the tank. There should be a small brown wire on the sending unit. If you were to follow that wire, odds are it is broken somewhere. under the door sil plate is a very common place.
It may well be unplugged from the fuse box too. Shade. It sounds to me like your float is filled/missing. Could also be a bad sending unit, but you could find that out by testing the unit when you pull it out to see if the float is full. |
