Line-lock switch setup.

Hey guys I've got my line lock in place and I'm finishing up the plumbing, but I was looking at the instructions vs friends setups and had a question.

The Instructions say to go (12v Source-> fuse - > N/O momentary switch -> Line Lock ->Ground )

However on two other setups I've seen in person it went ( 12v ->fuse -> Line Lock- N/o momentary switch -> ground )

Am I able to put the switch on either side of the circuit since its a N/O momentary? I was never much for electrical engineering but doesn't putting a switch on the ground accomplish the same thing as on the power, since either way the circuit isn't complete?

Re: Line-lock switch setup.

Unless I had a good reason not to, I would go with with what the manufacturer says.....if for no other reason than warranty.

Re: Line-lock switch setup.

I feel ya. I guess I'm asking partially out of general curiousness, does it really matter?

The other reason is that the wiring terminates much easier in the second configuration, just because of how things are already layed out (its hard to explain )

In this case, it really doesn't matter which way you do it.

Re: Line-lock switch setup.

Thanks Hart. Seems like a complete circuit is a complete circuit either way. I'm sure there is an electrician rolling his eyes at me for having to ask this

lol, I wired my line lock up to my horn button. Here's the wiring diagram for that:

Re: Line-lock switch setup.

word. Thanks man. I was going to do the horn as well, but I get REALLY angry at stop lights....I think it would lead to road-rage burnouts
