Alternator bracket help

My son has a 72 C10 with a 73 454 BB. He is installing vintage air and is wanting to move alt to driver side. He has a long water pump. We can not find brackets for alt and long water pump for drive side. What do you guys do, or where can we find parts?

Re: Alternator bracket help

I believe with that you can only put the Alternator on the drivers side with a short water pump. At least thats what my mechanic says.

No that's incorrect, my 69 has a vintage air kit with long pump on my 454 BB and my alternator was relocated to the drivers side. My build thread should have a few pics of it and will see if I have receipt from where they were purchased.

Thanks for the input. Could you text me some pictures of the alt mounted and the power steering pump? Son found the brackets from vintage air.

Re: Alternator bracket help

I am going into the same situation. Did anyone come to a conclusion as to what works? I have a long water pump on my 350 and need to move the alternator to the drivers side to make room for my VA kit.

Re: Alternator bracket help

I was just looking at those and they are pretty pricey for a bracket.
