My 1972 stepside truck.

I finally got around to taking some pics of her. My dad bought her off the new car lot in 1971 for $2350.00. She served as a work truck and daily driver/work truck until 1994. She was parked in a garage (no prep, alas) until 2003 when she was driven some by me until 2005 when she was again parked in my garage until last June (again, no prep).

1/2 ton, 250 inline, 3 speed manual on column, no AC

So far, I have:

Changed oil and filter
Removed the gas tank and all rubber fuel/vent lines
Blown out the fuel/vent lines with compressed air
Tossed the battery
Began rebuliding the drum brakes

Planned this year:

Rebuild carb
Finish drum brake job
Drain/flush/bleed brake lines
Reinstall "renued" gas tank OR new gas tank
New fuel and vent line hoses
Replace cab to frame bushings
New radiator
New water pump
New thermostat
All new belts and cooling system hoses
New battery
All new tires
Install OEM bumper guards
Fix the windshield washer
New underhood rubber

Gorgeous truck, appears to be in great shape! I love ochre. I like the window vent/shades too.

Re: My 1972 stepside truck.

My dad has always had a thing for hood ornaments. He has a decent collection mounted on his mantel. I have no idea when he affixed that Lincoln "sight" but it's been there as long as I can remember.

Thanks for the compliments, it's been bondo'ed and repainted once but that's the original color.

I'll try for some more pics this week, espcially of the sides and rear.
