Chrome swing away tire mount

I have a chrome swing away mount. I believe it is for 73-87. The man I bought my blazer from had it chromed years ago and I just opened it for the first time since then. I was told it was for mine but looking at numerous pics realize it is not. It is all very nice. Chrome is near perfect. Has a few dings in the main mount hoop from before it was chromed. What should I ask for it? Thanks for any help. Dustin

Re: Chrome swing away tire mount

I'll take a stab. Although some will love it,some don't want chrome, and some won't want to spend the money,to the right person (I'm sure is out there) it's worth a good $300 I'd say. It's not a common piece un-chromed and chroming makes it totally custom. And,it's a totally custom or finely detailed (slightly over) restored K/5 that it belongs on.

Re: Chrome swing away tire mount

Thanks for the response Tim. That's where I was on it. It didn't belong on my blazer so I figured I'd try to find out what it's worth and sell it. After opening the packaging I realized it wasn't even for my blazer. Thank you, Dustin
