core support replacement question...

Soo... I think I already know the answer to this, but I figured I should consult the experts anyway.

When I looking for a new radiator, I stumbled onto a good deal and ended up getting a core support to replace the rusty one in my truck. Is it possible to replace the core without removing the fenders?

If the fenders have to come off, I may hold off on replacing the core until I get better fenders and inners as well, then do it all at once, along with the springs. Right now I just want to get the truck running again...

Re: core support replacement question...

I upgraded my truck to a 4 core, and in doing so need to remove my core support to get to the bottom brackets for the radiator, I couldn't figure out an easy way to get the support out without removing the fenders and hood.

I'm pretty sure you will need to remove the fenders to change it but I have never tried to do one without the front end being off the truck.

Front fenders & grille are tied together by the core support. The factory assembly manual shows the entire assembly with exploded drawings. If you have a bunch of friends handy and you have this manual it's easy to see how to take the entire front doghouse off in one piece but you better have four guys to do it.
