to hook or not to hook?

hey guys, small poll here.

My truck came with these cool tie down hooks on it. Obviously, these are not factory original equipment, but they are as old as the truck. (I think they are actually cast) Do you guys think they would add to the look, or detract from it? My wife likes them, but I am more concerned about smacking my hand on them when I wash the truck.

That was the first thing that crossed my mind too!! Not sure if you were serious about the wife comment, or throwing a little adult humor!

They fit great, and would DEFINITELY get attention, but not sure the kind you want!

My truck had 3 on each side, I used them all the time. I am going to mount them on the inside on the stake pockets, also some others down lower near the bed floor.

I like them a lot. I vote use 'em. To me they look 'period correct' and tie down points are always a good thing to have.

I just picked a 53 box and it has four of them on it but they are lower down on the bed side I thought some one was bored and bolted them, guess not
