Yes. Almost all the time. Sometimes I don't if I'm just going down the street to the grocery store. I live in a very small town. Darren

My Blazer doesn't have any. The guy who owned it befor me removed them I think. I have had my Blazer for 13 years so you do the math. LOL I never use the ones in my wife's 98 either. I guess I don't take to kindly as to be forced by law to wear them. Part of my youth still hanging on.. LOL WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Never. If I had a seat belt on 2 years ago I would have been killed when I got rearended.
I gladly pay the no seatbelt ticket! And now that I really think about it. I have been in 5 major accidents(vehicles totaled) that I very well may have been killed if I had been wearing a seatbelt. ------------------

I think i would wear mine more often if it didnt always slide between the seat and end up on the floor by the gas tank. I get stopped at the Gate to the base I'm stationed every so often and I have to pull off to the side and dig it out

ALWAYS, without fail and if I don't have it on I know something feels wrong. I also make sure my passengers buckle up. If they don't want to then they aren't going anywhere.
I know there is the occasional accident where wearing a seatbelt might impede your progress when escaping a burning wreck etc. etc. But as far as most accidents go, of which I had THREE (all write-offs to the vehicle too), they save your life. I'm still looking for a suitable 3-point shoulder harness replacement for my lap belts. ------------------ Southpa 1970 GMC 1500 Custom Victoria, BC, Canada

I never get in ANY car without a seatbelt on. Just doesn't feel right.
Part of it might be with the aggressive-driving bit, it holds me in the seat better. Personally, I wish cars would come with five-point setups; I actually find those rather comfortable, hehe. Of course, the simplest way to avoid getting hurt in accidents...is don't get in accidents...definitely had my share of near-misses... ------------------ Project 1970 - soon to be seen at http://milhouse.treylis.org:81/

When I leave town I put my belt on, in either truck. I drive 620 miles a week just for work and have seen everything from drunks crashing to ppl going to sleep and crashing. When around town I dont wear it.

I always wear mine. My best friend was killed in a car wreck a year ago, he ran off the road and his truck turned over. He was thrown out of the truck, and it landed on top of him. If he was wearing his seat belt, he would still be alive today. There is absolutely NO excuse not to wear one, period.

ALWAYS...It makes me feel naked in public...
(well maybe not that bad)...if I dont have it on. I didnt much care for the 'lap' belts either, still felt wrong...was going to install 3-point seatbelts when I ran across some '99 dodge seats with built in seatbelts that I will be installing soon, I hope. I rarely wear a seat belt. The only time is when my little boy tells me to. I was in an accident when I was twelve, we were hit by a logging truck actually, and I had one of those moments in your life that you can't help but commit to memory. The officer on the scene said that If I would have been wearing a belt, I would have been cut in half. That image just kind of stuck with me. Also, like Wes, I don't like being told that I have to do something. I was working in Cochrane Alberta for the last couple of years and there were two things that I could count on there. One was that someone would run the four way stop daily, and that I could count on getting 4-5 no seat belt tickets a year. Always from the same rcmp (rural cop) to. I would tell him, just give me the ticket. Oh, and I would also express the notion that I thought that in order to be a royal canadian mounted cop, you had to be in relatively good physical shape. He was a rather portly fella. That probably did not help my cause, but that is just the way I am.

I always wear mine. I think that the risk of getting injured without one is more than when the seatbelt causes injuries by far!
I have just always wore mine and not even thought about it. Don't bother me one bit. I also make my passengers put it on. ------------------ Nick Rodenberg Wellington, MO http://nickrod.port5.com You can click on "My 72 Chevy Truck" I have a 72 Cheyenne 10 with a V8 350 and a TH-350 auto-tranny. I wear them in newer cars where they actually are effective, but in the old trucks, I dont think they do much.
They were installed in the early years on a mandate, so there was not actual safty planning going on. If you smash into somthing your getting a column in the chest belt or not. I am considering updating my belts to shoulder belts, but right now, they are pretty much useless. They go on for traffic stops only. My answer is I wear them when they are would be effective. ------------------ jku 70 C30 CST Longhorn 68k10 burb 69 K5 beater 43 willys GPW 40 Chev coupe 67 catalina

ALWAYS. I won't even pull out of the driveway without mine on. Twice now I have been turning the corner away from the house to have the driver's door pop open. In both cases I could feel the seatbelt holding me in.
I wrote this in 1975 when I flipped my Father's car: The crunching of metal The smashing of glass It was my seatbelt That saved my ass. Haven't gone more than 10 feet without one since.

My Studebaker didn't have any when I bought it, either. I didn't drive it until it had them, though. I put 3 point belts in my 71 Longhorn. I Will NOT drive or ride in a vehicle that I can't be buckled up in. I'll never forget seeing the car my sister died iin, and the way her chest pushed the steering column iinto the dash and her head imprint in the windshield. I even buckle up to go down to the highway to the mail box.

My dad was a EMT for over 10 years. He also worked in the ER at out local hospital for several years. He saw scores of people that had died, or become seriously injured and disabled, because they didn't buckle up and got in a car wreck. He never saw ANYONE who got hurt or killed because they had been wearing their seatbelt.

I always wear my seatbelt no matter what I'm in. About a month ago there was an 18 year old girl that flipped her car and she wasn't wearing her seat belt. She was thrown from the car and it landed on her head. If she would have been wearing her seatbelt it could have made all the difference in the world.
