What front shock for 2 inch spring drop

I'm going with a 2inch lowering spring for now and adding 2 1/2 inch spindles next year. I need to know what shock I should be getting.

Re: What front shock for 2 inch spring drop

I just went to the brother site and they want $50 per shock. Also do I need the relocator kit with a 2 inch drop coil?

Re: What front shock for 2 inch spring drop

It all depends on your shock travel. If you can make a scribe line around the shock at ride height and measure your shock from eye to eye. Take that measurement and compare it with the compress/extended length the stock shocks show. via. rockauto.com....

Usually a 2 in. drop wont cause the stock shocks to bottom out.

If you do decide to really drop it. Read this post. Good luck

I believe relocators are for the rear only and needed when you go 4 or or more inches of spring drop. Well, 4" is borderline but probably a good idea to use 'em.

They have the front shock replicators and those are really for structural integrity, thestickshock bolt tend to Waller the hole bigger. I also think you won't need drop shocks for a 2" spring drop.

Re: What front shock for 2 inch spring drop

Thanx guys! I might just go ahead and do the springs and shocks for this year. Any little bit helps. This winter I'll start stocking up on parts for the spring. I'm going to totally rebuild the front end and add power discs and spindles with all the other goodies. New shocks springs and shock relocators in the rear made a huge difference so can imagine how nice it will make the front ride.
