position inner fender to cab mount bracket

Working on a Chevy '56 Stepside...

I was just looking at the position of the inner fender bracket on the driver side... I welded in a new floorpanel in that area. I'm pretty sure, I took the measurements of the old board, to drill the 2 holes ... but when I compare the driver to the passenger side, I have the impresion the driver side is way off ...

Is there anybody, who could measure the position of these 2 holes ? As a reference I took the ribs left and right :

on the left I have a hair less then 1", and on the right 2" 15/16 ...

many thanks in advance ...

Re: position inner fender to cab mount bracket

Those brackets are identical, so they go on opposite of each other side to side. Bracket and holes outside of the inner fender on the PS(looks good), bracket and holes on the inside of the inner fender on the DS(looks not so good) I tried to make them the same but decided it was way too much work for what I would accommplish. I would wager your holes are correct. Some bean counter saved a nickel on that deal and that's what we got.....that is if I assembled mine correctly. It came in pieces so i never really knew.
