I'd grab that orange 350 block - metallurgy was better then than now. Knock it apart and spend a bit having it baked and shot peened. As long as they've been stored as in the pic, a little surface rust is all you have to worry about. It's when they still have the heads on and are stored on the pan with no carb or exhaust manifold is when you have to worry - water that gets on parts and quickly dries is no problem. It's when it stands inside the block that you get major pitting. You can find heads, etc. everywhere, same with cranks and rods. Offer him $50 for the pair, you'll get gas money back at the salvage yard.
