Re: Attempt/Mistake #2
Ok folks I need some opinions from you all. On my old silver cab I had meticulously smoothed the firewall to go along with the shaved outside of the truck. It took me a very long time to do it all correctly. Now looking at it I do not know that it looks much, if any, better than my new cab's spot welded firewall. I am wanting opinions as to whether it is worth me smoothing this one (remember that the outside of the truck will not be smoothed this time) or if I should just paint it black and be done with it. The reason this is coming up now is because before long I will be priming this cab. I do not want to be priming it anytime soon BUT in order to get the rust out if the roof cavity I will have to media blast in there and do not want to blast rest of cab after having put the outer roof skin on. The reason why is because I will be installing 3Ms acoustic Thinsulate insulation up there and due to the nature of its composition it would trap the dust and media and therefore haunt me forever.
