Difference between 47-53 and a 54 Chevy

Hello,
New to the Chevies, but I do love these year trucks. Purchased a 52 Panel truck with a 54 front end. I assume the fenders are different between the two years, but wanted clarification. It has a 54 grill. I am purchasing a new Walker radiator for a 350 in it and I noticed Speedway motors sells one for 47-53 and a seperate one for 54. Can anyone tell me the difference in the two radiators. Seems the size may be diff., maybe diff. Radiator support. Thanks for any help.

Never been aware of any differences in the radiator. IIRC the fenders, inner fenders (variance for the different shaped fender for the grill), grill and splash apron are the only front sheet metal differences. I've owned/disassembled 2 54's and in the process of a 55.1.

EDIT-a little digging and the only difference is that the horn attached to the core support on the 54-55.1 instead of the intake manifold on the 47-53.

Jim Carter is a pretty well known authority on the old chevy/gmc trucks. His site shows same radiator for 47-55.1. http://www.oldchevytrucks.com/cart/i...em%2FRadiators
