64-66 Chevy Oddball Cowl Vent Identification Help

Was out parts hunting and ran across this 64-66 Truck . I have been around these trucks for a while but have never ran across anything like this. Just to the left of the brake master cylinder was a extra cowl vent. It has a flex tube that extends to a couple of brackets just behing the radiator support. Whatever was held by the brackets is gone.

Not sure if this was Farmer Browns invention or not. Whoever did it took enough time to install a GM wiper bag on the passenger side for wiper fluid as whatever was held by the brackets would have interfered with the original location of the wiper fluid tank.

Here are some pictures . If you have seen anything like this would be interested to know if it was original or a farmer add on. Truck was pretty loaded with other options so kind of odd. Thanks

Thanks a lot. I had never seen one like this in over 30 years of buying old truck parts. My next question was if any one had ever seen an air cleaner like this . I think you answered that questions as well. I am missing the pre cleaner or whatever sits near the radiator support. Thanks again

Thanks and thanks for the link to the earlier post.

Wish I could find the inline fan behind the seat but do not think that I will be that luck.

So if you had this setup could you tell all your friends your were running and early GM Factory Turbo Setup. LOL

Nice! I am making one for my truck out of steel that will look like the cowl cold air inlet used on Camaros and Chevelles.
