Re: Opinion on Possible Scam...or not?

So we have a guy with a DC phone number, lives in Indiana, and has Cali plates on his truck...is he in the Armed Services?

Re: Opinion on Possible Scam...or not?

I'd be tempted to run that tag number...maybe one of our law enforcement members could help.

Exactly.
Thats why I told him I'm out...not interested. Too many things are not adding up and my level of confidence in this deal isn't high enough to proceed.
So time to target these bedrails elsewhere.
I have to review how to resize and post pics here on the buy/sell section so I can get a bunch of this stuff (parts) underway and sold here.
Its pretty clear there is a little more reliable bunch of hobbyists and truck parts guys here than out in (distant) craigslist land.
All Good
Coley
(note: Bigmac...I'll pm you and try to get a few pics of those bedrails that way)

I had two calls from wisconsin wanting to buy my truck off craigslist. I'm in cali. Both wanted to send cashiers checks and have their hauler pick up the truck. They didn't care about the condition of the truck or anything. I smelled a scam. It made no sense for a wisconsin buyer to hire a hauler to pick up a $1500 truck in ca. They disappeared when i demanded cash only.

It's best to keep it local, face to face sale, cash only.
