Re: 67-72 GMC Grill differnce.
^^ That's right. They all interchange, but '67 had GMC across the middle,68-70 was the same grille w/o the letters, and 71/72 changed to a wider center bar with indented black area

Re: 67-72 GMC Grill differnce.
67-72 GMC fenders never changed, except the marker light hole.
hoods were 67-68 slanted and 69-72 just like Chevy. someone can correct me if im wrong here...I've only had 1 cup of coffee...

Re: 67-72 GMC Grill differnce.
68-72 fenders are all the same and '67s same but no markers, correct. Hoods the same as Chevy: 67-68 slant, 69-72 blunt. Radiator supports, I think they are all the same 67-72. The grill filler panel changed with the hood, so 67-68 has a small filler riveted on top of the grill that goes under the leading edge of the hood and 70-72 has a large filler that goes in front of the leading edge of the hood. The 70-72 grill filler also blends into the eyebrow trim in the fender where the 67-68 eyebrow trim blends to a separate hood edge trim. So, if you want to lose the eyebrow trim the slant nose is easy just ditch the hood trim, the blunt noses look a little odd with out the eyebrows. Also all GMCs say GMC on the hood except the 67 that has it embossed into the grill.

Re: 67-72 GMC Grill differnce.
I'll attempt to stay on topic here...one oddity that I noticed on my 69 GMC is that the marker lights on the bedsides and the front fenders are inoperable on all GMC's and with Chevy's they light up. I don't know if this changed after a certain year but I was amazed when I pulled the cover to change the bulb on my truck and there was no wiring behind, they are just reflectors. Can anybody confirm the year that GMC went with lighted markers?

Re: 67-72 GMC Grill differnce.
The upper grille and fender surround is required with the 69-72 hood because the upper piece fills the void left by the shorter hood. The fender brows just serve to complete the surround, but it looks like heck w/o them.
At some point in '69 GMC and Chevy went to lighted side markers. All '68s and some '69s have reflectors

Re: 67-72 GMC Grill differnce.
There can be some minor differences in the grill top bar 69-72. I think it was 69 that had small extensions at the end of the top bar that ran behind the eyebrows. It's not real important but if you are doing a correct resto it could be important. I've only seen this top bar once.

Re: 67-72 GMC Grill differnce.
Ok so according to my classic industries catalog, 67-72 GMC only use 67-68 CHEVY C/10 fenders, they do not use any 69-72 Chevy Fenders...Interesting.

Re: 67-72 GMC Grill differnce.
To be correct and clear, it goes like this:
1967 GMC C & K 1500/2500/3500 and 1967 Chevy C & K 10/20/30 are the same 1968-72 GMC C & K 1500/2500/3500 and 1968 Chevy C & K 10/20/30 are the same 1969-1972 Chevy C & K 10/20/30 are unique Fender badge holes vary,mostly on Chevys,by year,engine,trim level. 68-72 GMCs use the same fender badges

Re: 67-72 GMC Grill differnce.
that 67 gmc grill is growing on me. almost rivals the 69/70 chevy. My wife says I have champagne tastes with a beer budget. That chrome monster is expensive.
